Responsibilities:

• Management an offshore Development team that is responsible for the on-going development & maintenance of the Ariba Platform components utilized internally by all Ariba applications
• Responsible for building & leading a remote team of talented engineers to enhance and support the capabilities of core Platform components in a variety of areas such as Application Framework, J2EE servers, Persistence, Messaging, installation and migration tools
• Encourage continued improvements in proficiency and efficiency of Development engineers through objective setting and hands-on mentoring, including technical areas.
• Effectively communicate status, metrics, and issues to US management staff on a regular basis

Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8 – 10 years of Software Development experience that includes 3+ years as a Development Manager.
• Excellent technical, analytical, people management and communication skills.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and methodologies (Java and/or C++).
• Strong knowledge/experience with software development methodologies and processes.
• Technically competent in web application technologies (XML, J2EE), database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server or DB2), platforms (UNIX and Windows).
• Knowledge of Configuration Management and defect tracking tools.



Ariba Spend Visibility – Team

Responsibilities:

• Leads and manages a small team of engineers
• Defines project and release scope, develops project plans & deliverables, detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and business unit leadership in developing project objectives, change requests and timelines
• Functions as a single point of contact for assigned release/project(s) for project staff, management and business unit
• Delegates project assignments to project teams or individual
• Owns all project documentation for status, risk management and problem reporting
• Conducts project meetings and provides regular reporting. Ensure that projects are complete according to schedule and within budget
• Works with the product management and engineering teams to bring new solutions into practice and to measure operational performance

Knowledge and Skills:

Job Description:

The Training Consultant's primary function will be to develop, administer and maintain the structure and processes that support training initiatives for the global Customer Support organization. Training initiatives include new hire training, cross training and advanced training opportunities identified through the Customer Support quality program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Creates and maintains standard on-boarding process for all Customer Support new hires including the program, supporting documentation, delivery and tracking.
• Creates and maintains the training program for product training, process training and applicable certifications.
• Creates, maintains and potentially delivers all relevant certifications.
• Creates and maintains a central repository of all course and certification completions.
• Assists with, coordinates or potentially conducts product and process training for new hire and cross training initiatives.
• Assists operational teams in development of training strategy for all new global Customer Support processes as well as improvements to existing processes.
• Contributes information to global knowledge database
• Works with other Ariba teams to share knowledge and experience and bring best practices back to Customer Support

Desired Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, operations or technical field required.
• Above 5+ years of experience in development and delivery of training programs are preferred.
• Exceptional communication and team building skills.
• Ability to continually adapt and modify processes, style and approach in an ever-changing work environment.
• Must have excellent organizational, coaching and customer service skills.
• Strong procedural knowledge of Customer Support and thorough understanding of at least two Ariba applications preferred.
